Beyond Summer Camp: Keeping Curiosity & Confidence Alive With After-School Enrichment
Electivity campers spent the summer coding robots, debugging their first Python projects, and turning clay into kawaii masterpieces. Now that school's back in session, the real question is: how do you keep that momentum going?
The good news is that the same curiosity, problem-solving, and creative confidence the children built over the summer can carry straight into the school year — with the right after-school program to match.

What Electivity Campers Built This Summer
Our summer lineup gave campers a taste of three very different kinds of growth.

In Algo Bricks, kids learned the fundamentals of programming and robotics by building automated LEGO models — picking up physics, mechanics, and teamwork along the way.
In Python Playground, campers mastered real coding fundamentals (variables, loops, conditionals, functions) while bringing their own project ideas to life.
And in Kawaii Craft Club, young artists spent the week painting, sculpting, and crafting various projects.

Three camps, three very different skill sets — but the same underlying wins: curiosity, focus, and the confidence that comes from finishing something you built yourself.
Enrichment is where those gains keep building, week after week instead of just one week a year.
Here's how our programs continue what summer started, organized by the type of growth your child is chasing next.
Academic & STEM Programs
If your kid loved the building-and-coding rhythm of Algo Bricks or Python Playground, this is the natural next step. Our STEM lineup spans a wide range of entry points, so there's room for a first-timer and a returning builder alike.
Coding & robotics programs let kids continue exactly where camp left off — building and programming with LEGO-based robotics kits, exploring embedded systems and sensors, and leveling up into physical computing with motors and gears.
For campers who want to go further with text-based code, there are options in Python and JavaScript, plus Minecraft-based programs that bring coding fundamentals into world-building and game design.
Engineering & making classes take a more hands-on, less screen-based approach — think rocket launches, catapults, circuits, and themed build challenges that develop fine motor skills and early engineering thinking, without requiring any prior coding experience.
Problem-solving & critical thinking programs bring a mystery-and-mission format to STEM skills — students crack codes, build gadgets, and work through escape-room-style challenges that sharpen teamwork, time management, and logical reasoning.
Our AI literacy classes are project-based: kids pick their own build — a game, an app, an idea — and learn to use AI tools skillfully and ethically while shipping something real.
And for the foundational side of STEM, there's a dedicated math enrichment program that builds core number sense and homework confidence for younger grades.
Life Skills Programs
Kids who thrived on the hands-on, real-world problem-solving of camp often do just as well in the kitchen — or the workshop — as they do with a robot kit.
Our life skills programs include cooking classes where dishes are prepared from scratch — practicing knife safety, kitchen sanitation, and following a recipe start to finish, using organic, allergy-conscious ingredients.

It's a different kind of building: instead of a robot or an app, the "project" is a meal your child made themselves, and the payoff is a skill they'll actually use at home.
For those drawn to working with their hands in a different way, we also offer woodworking, where kids use real hand tools safely to build functional projects — developing dexterity and safety intuition along the way.
There's also a sewing program where older campers take on a multi-week project, designing and stitching their own stuffed animal from rescued fabric scraps — building real sewing skills and creative confidence along the way.
Sports Programs
Not every camper's next step is at a desk. For kids who need to move, we have soccer programs that are focused on fundamental skills — dribbling, passing, coordination — in a noncompetitive, all-levels environment.
There are also taekwondo and capoeira classes. Taekwondo is great for structure, discipline, and physical confidence. Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that blends dance, music, and acrobatics — here, kids build strength, balance, and flexibility alongside focus, self-expression, and teamwork.

All our sports programs are a good fit for kids who want an outlet that channels their energy physically.
Visual Arts & Crafts Programs
For the crafters who fell in love with Kawaii Craft Club, our visual arts lineup keeps that creative spirit going in new mediums.
Options range from traditional drawing and painting classes to cartooning, complete with original comic-strip characters, and open-ended maker sessions for younger grades.
Kids can also explore textile-focused crafting — beading, embroidery, crochet, and rainbow loom — or a clay sculpture program where they explore color mixing and shape their own characters and objects by hand.
Performing Arts Programs
For campers ready to move from making things to performing them, we have filmmaking classes where kids write, act in, and help produce their own short film, and a musical theater program that blends K-pop-inspired choreography with a Wizard of Oz-themed showcase — building confidence on stage through singing, dancing, and storytelling.

Key Takeaways
Summer camp skills — coding, building, creating, problem-solving — don't have to stop when camp ends; our programs are designed to build on exactly those foundations.
Programs span five broad areas: Academic & STEM, Life Skills, Sports, Visual Arts & Crafts, and Performing Arts.
STEM has the widest range, from beginner-friendly robotics builds to Python, JavaScript, Minecraft-based coding, and a project-based AI literacy lab.
Life Skills includes cooking, woodworking, and sewing — three different hands-on ways for kids to build real-world confidence.
Sports and Performing Arts have also grown, with capoeira joining the physical lineup and circus & flow arts offering a joyful, movement-based path into performance.
Whether your child leans creative or expressive, Visual Arts & Crafts and Performing Arts both give kids a way to turn imagination into something they can show off — one on paper or canvas, the other on stage.
Program availability varies by school and region, and depends on enrollment minimums — reach out to us for more information .
Availability of After-School Enrichment
Electivity partners with schools across the Bay Area, and each school's after-school lineup depends on local provider availability and family demand — so not every program above runs at every campus. Contact us to find out how we can bring programs to your school.
For School Administrators & PTA/PTO Boards
If you are interested in adding high-quality enrichment programs to your school's after-school schedule, please contact Electivity. We manage the entire setup process, ensuring a seamless integration with your school's calendar.
For Parents
Programs are currently active at select schools for Fall 2026. If these programs are not yet available at your child's school:
Contact your PTA/PTO or school administration to request they partner with Electivity for future sessions.

FAQ
Can my child try something completely different from what they normally do?
Absolutely! In fact, that's one of the best reasons to try enrichment. A child who loves sports might discover a passion for engineering, while a budding scientist might discover they love painting or creative design.
Are these programs held during school hours or after school?
These are after-school enrichment programs, run on-site through each partner school, with sign-up and scheduling handled by Electivity.
My child has never coded before — can they still join a STEM program?
Yes. Several STEM options, including the robotics and engineering-focused programs, are designed for complete beginners and require no prior coding experience.
What happens if a program doesn't get enough sign-ups?
Electivity requires a minimum number of enrollments for a program to run. If that minimum isn't met, the program is cancelled, so early sign-up helps secure a spot.
